Our new permanent studio in Manchester
We have opened a new studio in Manchester city centre, signalling our commitment to the region. The studio is complete with state-of-the-art model making facilities and will reinforce our involvement in developing Manchester’s architecture and infrastructure. It will house over thirty WW+P employees and is also Egis’s Manchester home.

The studio marks our new permanent residence in the city, having worked in the North for the past five years. We're is now set to play an important role in future developments to rail and related sectors in the region.
Adam Brown, Associate and Manchester Studio lead, said: “Five years after we started working here, moving into our first permanent residence offers us the opportunity to deepen our connections with the city and focus on our ongoing commitment to championing design quality and technical excellence across the region.
“We’re keen to be at the forefront of this government’s programme of economic regeneration, growth, new homes and jobs, all driven by sustainable transport connectivity across the north and nationally, with this new studio further embedding our involvement. We look forward to continuing to contribute to Manchester’s legacy of great architecture, pioneering infrastructure and creative collaboration from our new home.”
The studio is within ‘Thread Works’, a former textile factory developed by Bruntwood SciTech, the UK’s largest dedicated property platform serving the growth of the nation’s science, tech, and innovation sectors. The name pays homage to the building’s first ever tenants, Schill Seebohm & Co, shipping merchants who sold locally made textiles in the 1880s.
