Living, Learning, Legacy: Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
The NLA’s latest report delves into the vision, purpose and challenges that have been faced throughout the ongoing development of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and its surrounding areas from the moment London won its Olympic bid in 2005 to today and looks ahead to what is still to come.
One of the key factors in enabling the growth of this area and serving the Olympic has been a comprehensive and integrated transportation network. We were involved in the design and delivery of this network from the start. Our work on the DLR extension to Stratford connected central London to the Olympic Park, building new stations to support localised growth and development plans. At Pudding Mill Lane we build a new station that could meet the passenger demands of the Games and anticipated future growth, as well an enabling the Elizabeth line.
Our work at Pudding Mill Lane features within the NLA Report, and highlighted the importance that transportation plays in enabling growth, and creating sustainable places for people.
