Chris Williamson elected as RIBA President 2025-2027
We are delighted that one of WW+P’s co-founders Chris Williamson has been elected President (2025-2027) to the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
Chris co-founded WW+P (Weston Williamson + Partners) in 1985, and provided leadership to many talented individuals over the following years as the practice grew and took on more partners. His campaign for president was built around community, inclusion and passion for the profession – values we share at WW+P.
Since WW+P became part of Egis in 2022 Chris has taken on a role as Global Ambassador for the Egis Architecture Line, a growing stable of high profile international architectural practices that includes WW+P alongside 10Design, U+A and Omrania.
The opportunities that Chris has provided to so many within the practice, including myself, will always be appreciated.
Rob Naybour, CEO
Speaking to the AJ on his success in the election, Chris said: “I was deeply moved by the encouragement I had from all corners of the profession, from my own architectural heroes to students, small practices, apprentices and academics.
“Thank you to Duncan [Baker-Brown] and Funmbi [Adeagbo] for running such positive, engaged campaigns. I look forward to working with you both on Council. The hard work starts now, and there is much to be done. As promised, I will be an advocate for the great work that RIBA continues to do, while holding to account the many areas where it could serve our industry better.”
Chris’s dedication and vision have always inspired the team at WW+P, and we wish him the very best success in his two-year term as President, beginning on 1 September 2025.
