People-focused
Our redevelopment of Victoria Station takes a holistic view, bringing together passenger improvements with development in and adjacent to station, a comprehensive transit orientated development. New ticket halls, step-free access and high-quality urban realm deliver an improved passenger experience for all. The surrounding phased masterplan creates a new retail destination, integrated within the historic environ.
Inventive
The complexities of this constrained inner city site required an innovative and coordinated approach to delivery. Stakeholder engagement delivered a series of short, medium and long term proposals, starting with the station works, ensuring any future growth plans is integrated with wider adjacent site developments. A final over-station development is realized through enhanced revenue generation. All works were developed using a 3D BIM environment, one of the first of its kind, mapping the site and its physical constraints.
The design means that customers can easily and safely exit the station, people will have quicker journeys and will be able to move around more easily. The benefit for our customers will be felt straight away.

Responsible
We carefully considered the sustainable and environmental impacts of the station works on the listed buildings during both construction and operation. Noise and vibration, air quality, excavation, waste and contaminated land were all addressed during the design. The longer term masterplan creates a development that is sustainable commercially as the area around the station develops, protecting land to ensure integrated development is key, and addressing social cohesion.
