People-focused

The vision for the Airport’s future expansion transforms Canada’s largest and busiest airport into a global mega hub, making connections from North America to the rest of the world. Careful restructuring of the existing terminal facilities and the creation of a convenient connected hub at the Airport’s core delivers an integrated aviation transport hub and improved passenger experience.

Inventive

A growth plan of this size required major capital investment. We demonstrated how the extremities of the site could support integrated commercial development, bringing new revenue streams and creating meaningful places in what is currently underutilised land.

Responsible

The Regional Transit Centre is a key part of the Airport’s vision to decrease the dominance of car travel to the airport. Combining rail, light rail, bus, cycle and pedestrian access alongside cars, the Regional Transit Centre will reduce congestion and car travel and the associated carbon emissions, promoting sustainable travel.
