People-focused
Our masterplan sets out an exciting vision for a 130 hectare development zone, delivering a mixed use city quarter that will provide up to 10,000 new homes alongside a range of employment, commercial and leisure facilities. New public space and transport connections are at the heart of the masterplan, making Bristol Temple Quarter an exceptional place to live and work.
Inventive
Holistic urban scale thinking balanced with architectural sensitivity allowed us to ensure the station’s relevance to a changing Bristol. The Grade I heritage listed station was preserved and updated with new facilities to address an anticipated doubling of passenger numbers. We collaborated with Historic England and many other stakeholders, including Bristol City Council and Network Rail, to maximise the masterplan’s opportunities for regeneration while respecting this icon of Britain’s railway heritage.
Responsible
Flood defences are integrated into public spaces, creating pleasant spaces, unlocking new development, and providing future resilience, protecting Bristol from flooding. These new parks and improved waterways boost biodiversity, making access to nature easier for all. Social value is key, contributing to a fairer and more equitable city that benefits all; helping to create a city region in which everyone has a stake, and no one gets left behind.
This isn’t simply a housing or infrastructure project. We want to create a sustainable, genuinely mixed-use place that works for the city-region as a place to live, work and spend time.
