Dan joined the studio in 2009 as a chartered architect, having won the Bristol Society of Architects award for outstanding design and the RIBA Wessex award for design excellence.
He was promoted to Design Partner in 2018. In 2021 he was appointed to Global Head of Design, where he is responsible for ensuring Design Excellence across our international studios. With a passion for craft and design, Dan is a hugely talented architect with a tremendous breadth of knowledge, skills and experience, honed over more than 20 years in practice. His ability to combine innovative and conceptual design skills with a refined technical knowledge drives conceptual and technical rigour across our projects, through an active involvement in design review.
Professionally trained in both architecture and town planning, he has led and overseen many of our award winning large integrated infrastructure projects for Crossrail, HS2, NR, TfL from concept through to completion, including; Wessex Waterloo, Victoria Station, Pudding Mill lane DLR, Edinburgh Waverley Station, Guangzhou Metro, Croydon Area Remodelling Scheme and the Old Street main entrance, which secured TfL’s sustainability award for outstanding environmental initiative.
